    Rush Processing

So How Does This All Work Anyway?

We follow a simple three-step process:

Send the info.

When you purchase a memorial, you’ll receive an email with the contact information for your dedicated support person.

This is a real person who will know your name, and they can help you at every phase of the process. They can even assist with ghostwriting! We record every call and can use it to make sure we get everything down exactly as instructed.

Your dedicated support person will be able to receive text messages and emails with anything you want to add to the memorial. Or just give them a call to discuss it. You’ll never have to login to our website or remember a password.

Make your edits.

We then put up an online memorial website. The website is a great way to preview and make edits to the memorial before the final hardcover book is printed. Invite family and friends to submit stories, pictures, and videos to be placed on the site. Nothing will be placed on the site without express consent from you, the memorial owner (purchaser).

This is an interactive process that allows for many changes and edits. There is no time limit, so you can proceed at a pace that is comfortable to you. Once the memorial is complete to your satisfaction, we move on to step three.

Get the book.

We take all the information from the website and use it to create a beautiful and durable hardcover memorial book that can be handed down for generations.

Each book is unique because we hire professional designers. This allows us to finely tune the design in a way those automated systems simply can’t. Every page is carefully considered before being sent to print.

As a final step, we upload the finished memorial to Forever.org and the Arweave permaweb where it will stay available online for hundreds, possibly thousands of years.

Still have questions?

You can call, email, or text us directly. We’d be happy to explain all the details.

Lets start building your
eternal memorial today.

Memorial Q&A

How do I add photos, videos, and stories to my memorial?

Our memorials are full-service, which means that they require very little effort on your part to get started. You can upload, email, or even text message us the information, and we will get it into the memorial ASAP. No complicated logins or website back-ends to navigate. Just send us the info directly and we’ll take care of the rest.

We know that your time is valuable, so we work to get your memorial up as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

Can several people submit information for the memorial?

To avoid disagreements, we have a policy that one person must act as the authority to decide what information goes into the memorial. These decisions are made either by the one who purchased the memorial, or someone whom the purchaser has delegated that authority to.

Therefore, it is best that submissions of stories, photos, and videos be directed at this decision maker who will then send it to us to be placed in the memorial.

Can I use your service to create an autobiography for myself or to publish my memoirs?

Absolutely. The pricing and the service are the same. We’ll help you craft the perfect autobiography, print it into a hardcover book, and preserve it permanently on the internet so people in the distant future will be able to access it and read it.

Nobody knows you better than yourself. An autobiographical book and website will act as a time capsule. Your thoughts, memories, and messages to the future – all arranged exactly how you like it.

What is the Arweave permaweb?

Most of the internet is held together by servers which are run by companies like Microsoft and Amazon. The websites you visit are made up of data that is stored on these servers. So if these servers ever stop storing the website’s data, it can disappear from the internet forever. That is why some old websites you visited in the past may not be there any more.

The Arweave permaweb is built to solve this problem of disappearing data. Think of Arweave like one large hard drive that has your website on it and many other people’s websites as well.

People around the world are paid to keep copies of that hard drive available for others to access online. But they have to store the whole thing – they can’t just pick and choose which parts they want to store. The system is designed not to differentiate between the files, so even in the distant future people will still be keeping and sharing copies of the hard drive in order to receive payments for doing so.

This makes it so that you can store anything on the Arweave permaweb and be confident that it will be available on the internet for a very long time to come.

Why is storage space limited to one gigabyte?

If you are familiar with hard drive storage space, you may be surprised by the gigabyte limitations we place on the memorials. That is because the cost of storing data permanently is significantly different than the regular cost of hard drive or cloud storage.

Since data written on the Arweave permaweb is permanent and must be duplicated and held by miners into perpetuity, it costs a premium. Arweave has an interest in limiting the amount of storage space, so the price can increase as demand increases.

Forever.org is a little different. Rather than paying miners to host the data, a nonprofit is in charge of making sure your data is always accessible. Each time someone buys data, that money is added to the nonprofit where it is used to pay for the costs associated with keeping the data online.

In terms of cloud data storage like Dropbox, you may pay for a month or twelve months of Dropbox at a time, but your data will disappear if I stop paying. With the permaweb, you are paying for 1000’s of months all at once and will never have to pay again. So it has a very different price structure.

For clients who require more space, add-ons are available which allow for whatever storage requirements you may need.

Can I reserve a memorial to be activated by my living will?

If you know that you want a memorial for yourself, you may want to pre-purchase your memorial right now and save your family the expense. We call this a preneed or prearranged memorial.

By doing it this way, you will also be able to submit your own information. Tell your own story and send a message to future generations. Decide who can and cannot contribute to your memorial. You are in control.

We’ll provide you with some short step-by-step instructions to place in your will, and then you’re all set. When the time comes, your estate’s executor will contact us to start the process of creating your eternal memorial.

If you wish to reserve a memorial for yourself, simply buy the memorial package. Tell your  dedicated support person what you’d like to do and they will walk you through the simple process of setting it all up.

Why aren't the websites more modern looking?

We deliberately keep our websites simple so they are easy to use. Our sites have large fonts, are mobile friendly, and use straightforward navigation. Our goal is to keep it simple so that a wide variety of people, young and old, can enjoy the memorial.

That said, your dedicated support can apply a wide variety of changes to the theme and layout of the website upon request. For more elaborate changes, we offer advanced website customization as an add-on so you can make your site look and function exactly how you want it to.
